Start with the right examination outline

Choose the salesperson or broker outline for your examination. Review the national/general and Pennsylvania portions separately. The state outline includes licensure, agency and disclosure, licensee conduct, and Pennsylvania-specific property rules.

Use the candidate handbook for eligibility, identification, booking and exam-day instructions. Check Pearson’s Pennsylvania program page for the current registration route.

Review the concepts behind each answer

Compare the outline with your course notes, identify weak topics and practise explaining why an answer is correct. Keep a list of missed concepts and revisit them before another practice session.

Pearson offers optional paid practice tests for general real estate topics. State-specific practice tests are not available from Pearson. Use the Pennsylvania outline to plan state-law review; a general practice score is not a licensing-exam result.

Fit preparation into your licensing plan

Exam preparation is separate from pre-license education, passing the licensing examinations and the state application. Review the Pennsylvania salesperson licensing guide if you are still planning these steps.
